FAQ

Healthcare questions

Can I request a certified medical interpreter?

Yes. Our medical interpreters are screened for language proficiency and medical terminology. If you need a nationally certified (CCHI or NBCMI) interpreter, tell us when you book and we will arrange one where available.

Can patients’ family members interpret instead?

Section 1557 regulations generally prohibit relying on family members, especially minors, except in limited emergency or patient-requested circumstances. Professional interpreters protect patients and providers.
