FAQ

Video Remote Interpreting questions

Do I need special equipment for VRI?

No. Any modern browser with a camera and microphone works, including iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows and Mac. We can also recommend medical-grade carts.

Is VRI appropriate for every Deaf patient?

VRI is powerful, but not always ideal. Under ADA guidance some situations call for an on-site interpreter; our team will help you decide and can dispatch on-site ASL interpreters.

Are VRI sessions recorded?

No. Sessions are not recorded by default, and all media is encrypted in transit.
