FAQ
Common questions
Which languages do you cover for the Ethiopian and Eritrean community?
Amharic, Afaan Oromo and Tigrinya are our core languages. We also provide Somali, Tigre, Sidama, Wolaytta, Gurage, Harari, Afar, Saho, Bilen, Kunama, Nuer, Anuak and other languages on request.
How do I send my document for a quote?
Send a clear photo or scan of every page, front and back, by email or through our contact form. We reply with a price and delivery date before any work begins.
Do you convert Ethiopian calendar dates?
Yes. Dates are translated exactly as written and the Gregorian equivalent is provided, so your documents match your passport and other records. You can also use our free Ethiopian calendar converter.
How do you spell names in the translation?
We follow the spelling in your passport or other official ID. Please send a copy of your passport photo page with your request so names match exactly.
Can you translate English documents into Amharic, Oromo or Tigrinya for use in Ethiopia or Eritrea?
Yes. We translate in both directions. Requirements for documents used abroad — such as authentication by an embassy — are set by the receiving authority, so please confirm them before ordering.
Can you help me fill out immigration forms or give legal advice?
No. Rehoboth provides translation and interpreting only. We are not a law firm and cannot give legal or immigration advice, select forms or complete applications. Please consult a licensed attorney or a DOJ-accredited representative.
Who pays for an interpreter at the hospital?
Hospitals and clinics that receive federal funding generally must provide language assistance at no cost to the patient. Ask for an interpreter in your language when you schedule your appointment. This is general information, not legal advice.
